Ibises are water birds. The male of the species has a longer beak than the female. Their long beaks allow them to catch small fish and other water creatures in the shallow water. Their heads have black skin and no feathers, whilst their body and wings are covered in white plumage. They have a black tail. Ibises build large nests made mainly of sticks.

Ibises inhabit almost all areas but mostly along salty wetlands and pastures. They can also be seen living near rubbish dumps where they can scavenge for food scraps.
